These terms are the agreement between you — a parent or guardian — and Kuhu. We've kept them short and honest.
Accounts may only be created by adults (18+) who are the parent or legal guardian of the children using the app. Children use Kuhu with and through their parent; they never hold accounts themselves. By creating an account you confirm you are an adult with authority to consent for your family.
Kuhu is a learning product: words, rhymes, stories, games, and audio that help children learn Indian languages. It is a cultural and educational tool, not a school curriculum, and we make no guarantee about learning outcomes — though we work hard for them.
Sign-in is by email link; keep your email account secure, since anyone with access to your inbox could access your Kuhu account. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy).
Parts of Kuhu are free; premium content requires a paid subscription once payments launch. Prices will always be shown before you pay, subscriptions can be cancelled any time and remain active until the end of the paid period, and founding-family pricing, once granted, is honoured for as long as your subscription stays active. Payments are processed by third-party providers; we never store card details.
Kuhu's original content — lessons, stories, artwork, the Kuhu mascot, and generated audio — belongs to Kuhu. Traditional rhymes remain part of our shared cultural heritage; our arrangements and recordings of them are ours. You may use all content for personal, family learning, and may not resell, scrape, or republish it.
Don't attempt to break, probe, or overload the service, misuse other families' data, or use Kuhu for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that put children, other users, or the service at risk.
Kuhu is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to account holders, and continued use after changes means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with disputes subject to the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal.
